About Our Primitive Lighting Fixtures
The primitive punched tin light fixtures offered by Master Tinsmith James Glynn are perfect wall lighting for bathroom, kitchen, window lighting or dining rooms. Lanterns & Lamps
Lighting fixtures like these handcrafted, primitive reproductions were used in the finest homes of our forefathers. Original designs are created from research on museum pieces and private collections. Special attention has been given to the handmade tinware finish that provides the look of an 18th century lantern, and is ideal for a colonial or country primitive décor.

Chandeliers by James Glynn

James Glynn, Tinsmith, has been creating museum quality chandeliers for over 25 years. Each tin chandelier is individually handcrafted in Glynn’s shop near historic Fredericksburg, VA. He utilizes many of the same tools that our forefathers used when they created these lighting fixtures centuries ago. The hand rubbed finish is carefully applied to create a patina similar to old pewter for an ideal look in colonial or country home lighting.
